Dabke Classes

We have taught 7 group classes over the course of 4 seasons where our students get a chance to perform and show off their learned choreography!

Workshops

Interested in learning the basics of dabke but don't know where to start? Hire our experienced members with years of teaching experience to host a workshop and break down the steps so you can join the dabke line with confidence!

Travel for Events

We are actively spreading dabke joy across the country, and worldwide. Locations we’ve traveled to include Michigan, New York, Georgia, Kansas, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.

There’s nothing more gratifying than fundraising for a good cause. We host and perform for fundraising events, representing our rich culture and freedom for us all.

Weddings & Hennas

Hire us for a range of wedding and henna services - from zaffe (bridal entrances) to performances, tabals (drums) and crowd engagement. All-female events included. We also offer private classes before your big day so you can take the dance floor by storm!

Aweeha (also Hayhawiya & Mahaha)

In addition to dabke, Malikat can perform the aweeha - an expression that signals the start of a short poem and ends with a zaghrouta or zalghouta - or ululation in celebration for occasions like graduations and weddings.

Iraqi dabke: Dabcha/Chobi

Chobi is the Iraqi version of dabke or dabcha, originating in Mesopotamian times and seldom danced by a professional all-women’s dabke group in the United States.

Arabic Singing

Malikat Al Dabke can incorporate singing to their more somber dabke pieces, reflecting a different style of dabke, and deep cultural roots tied to the message of liberation.
